Contractor called for a consultation to clear up framing issues. Called the Engineer for this job and had a group discussion on what he designed and what contractor proposes to build as an easier alternative. Outcome... contractor to build as per the designed plan.

Progress inspection.... Checked on progress of job.1) Fireproofing to still be completed at columns. The detail for the storefront wall with secondary wall with wood covering as shown on plans cannot be done at MOA. The storefront wall has a secondary stud wall behind it with wood front and back that is attached to the storefront wall. The inside layer of gypsum is not installed to the storefront wall as required. 2) Remove secondary wall and wood to place the gypsum on the inside of the storefront wall and then the wood and secondary wall can be attached to that storefront wall. These items will be checked at the next framing inspection.

No covering lids at the ceiling section that has all the ductwork. Contractor needs to install other method of support in order to hang the Armstrong ceiling framing to.

Approved to cover hard lids at the storefront, and retail area up to the mass of ductwork. Ok to cover the columns.

Storefront corrected. Ceiling framing also corrected. Approved to cover ceilings and storefront pending approval of electrical inspection.

Final approved and ok to open. Contractor to send picture of smoke seal installed to the rear door. With the detac unit installed.
