The issue has come up where the owner bought a refrigerator unit that is bigger than the doorway opening and they want to put in a wall access panel the size of the unit in order to get the refrigerated unit in and out of this kitchen space. Per talking with mall staff , The mall does not entertain a removable wall access panel for removing of units. This also would impede the requirements for health department within the kitchen. Talking with the contractor, he will try to fit the unit through the existing doorway since it appears to be skinny enough to fit through the door way but height might be the issue. If this doesn’t work, 2 options were presented to them... option 1)open up the wall and slide unit in place and re-close the wall as a finished wall per the plan design. Option 2 ) is to get a smaller unit that will fit through the doorway. No access panel to be installed that is the size of the unit.
