Meeting with mall representative, fire inspector, and contractor about the fire protection in the storage room. Due to classification of storage and no ceiling being installed in the storage room, either the sprinkler coverage needs to be updated and installed to comply for this storage, or a ceiling would need to be put in this storage room. Since this was planned to not have a ceiling, electrical and ductwork would need to be adjusted for the installation of a ceiling. This in turn would affect the racking height and storage height allowed. FM global and the NFPA requirements are the driving force in this requirement.
