Verbal corrections at final inspection. Contractor will be on site until all corrections and installations are completed. 1. Plaques at service locations indicating the service is 1 of …. ( how many ) and the location of the other services. 2. Even though you can see there is a gen-set- the NEC requires signage indicating that there is an alternate source…this is required at the service location) -however- with the service being 13.8 K – it may be wise to place additional signage at the main electrical room. 3. Informational note- I did email both the fire marshal and fire chief for Bloomington- asking what signs & plaques and at what locations would best help first responders- know what to do in an emergency. 4. The manual transfer switch is required to annunciate at remote location ( to be determined by others ) when the switch is any position other than “normal.” Additionally, there should be an indication of whether the phase rotation is clockwise or counter-clockwise. 5. Mark and I discussed the grounding/bonding of the parking lot poles- I understand that there is an equipment grounding conductor brought to the luminaire and that in turn the luminaire has some sort of mechanical connection to the pole. The NEC in 410.3 (B) (a) has a requirement for a bonding lug to be present at the pole handhole- evidently the spec did not call for this provision. I emailed both Mark and Todd Grube and am willing to wait for a final determination. However I have always required the bonding at a lug for “grounding” the pole, as the connections at the luminaire to the pole are subject to environmental conditions that can/will degrade over time- hence the requirement.
