Meeting with contractor and the involved trades about the exterior weather barrier requirements for this building. The outcome is they will not use any spray applied weather barrier , but will use the 2 layers of Grade “D” paper as required per stucco code requirements. The window openings will be wrapped and terminate onto sheathing with Tyvek and pan flashed per code requirements, and the grade “D” paper will overlap the tyvek at the window openings and terminate to the window. This method is compliant to code. Foam product of R10 equivalency will be installed over the Grade”D” paper and the preparation for the stucco onto that. Contractor will integrate the drip flashing where needed at top of all windows and the sleeved openings. A mock-up display will be made up and viewed by all involved for consistency, and to make sure all is correct before the actual work is done to the building.

Viewed and discussed window installation with the installation of stone veneer and stucco cladding. Flashing is an issue that needs to be addressed wher stone is installed at window area. Contractor will make sure that whatever method they decide to do is approved by mfg. and architect.
